UniLodge Improve Landfill Diversion with LongoPac

UniLodge is managing the waste at their university halls with less plastic thanks to LongoPac! The sleek new stations installed in the UniLodge halls have been a dramatic change, but created positive behaviour change amongst the students. Prior to these stations, there were overflowing bins on each floor, which was already an issue to service large wheelie bins on all levels of each building. The swap to LongoPac not only reduced the amount of plastic used when servicing the stations, but it improved the student waste culture. Particularly, students were able to compost their pizza boxes, clearly differentiate landfill from recycling, and would never have to decide what to do if there is an overflowing bin! No more mess to clean up at the bin stations, as everything stays contained in the bags, and can be serviced efficiently and sustainably! This solution is so widely accepted, and solved an immense servicing and behaviour problem at one of UC's most popular housing locations.
