Recycling contamination is an ongoing issue for bins in public spaces. Charopy was designed in Australia to support their Container Return Legislation and ensures 100% elimination of contamination in bins.

Charopy is the ideal tool for venues, shopping centres, hospitals, stadiums, corporate offices and more. It encourages interaction and with the public and is high social engager for any sustainability goals or messages.

Sustainably have the rights to the distribution of Charopy in NZ and can fit them to existing or custom-built infrastructure. In NZ we will be calling it Pre-Cycle.

A locked flap that only opens for eligible items, combined with real time online reporting. The technology linked to product barcodes accepts or rejects materials with a simple red or green light. Panel can be retrofitted to custom bin stations or hoods for wheelie-bins. A simple and relatively low-cost unit that provides high value both environmentally and socially.

This Charopy technology was placed at Brookfield Place in Perth. This implementation has used the standard panel to ensure non contamination in collection, plus includes a digital interactive screen. The screen uses real time updates to show how the correct recycling actions of all customers are directly helping to reduce waste to landfill by recycling to correct way. The screen has been designed in a way that the client can easily change the listed charity partner from time to time.
